All of us suffer from pain at some time or the other. The pain can be of different types. Sometimes we may not realize, that we are actually in pain. We often opt for prescriptions drugs or over-the-counter to relieve the pain. However, these drugs have a number of side effects and cause potential damaging condition, if they are used for an extended period of time. Therefore, it is better to turn towards herbal pain relievers. Some of the herbs are also used as food, hence are devoid of side effects, which is not the case with the pain killers, as they are made from chemicals, hormones, etc.

Arnica
This homeopathic pain relief is said to be especially useful in treating soft tissue injuries and bruising. It helps in alleviating general muscle pain relief and the pain caused by sprains. Arnica can also be used externally as a preventative medicine to avoid injury, before exercising or racing. Therefore, it is seen, that arnica is used as a topical agent, but care should be taken in not applying it on open or broken skin.
